Soul Cloths – solo exhibition Beijing – 13-09 till 19-10

Carpets, in this show Soul Cloths called, are more than decorative objects, the textiles mark the boundary between the ordinary world and moments of deep connection with the universe. Weaving, often done by woman, embeds memories and emotions into each thread. The patterns reflect spiritual paths and life’s interconnectedness from humans, animals and nature. Each thread is like a line drawn by a pen. Through meditative, repetitive handwork, creating patterns and illustrations from the heart, one speaks from heart to heart.

It’s Liekeland’s birthday! 🎉

Exactly 14 years ago, on 11 July 2011, I officially started working as an illustrator. I printed my first postcards at a local print shop, sold them to nearby stores, and one day, an editor from a Dutch magazine bought one of those cards, that’s when the real adventure began.

I’m still incredibly grateful for how everything unfolded. Every order, publication, and project helped me continue doing what I love: working as an illustrator. A job that has given me the freedom to create from the heart and follow my intuition.

World Animal Protection + Dille & Kamille + Liekeland

Since I started illustrating for World Animal Protection in 2020, this is the third time we’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with one of my favorite shops Dille & Kamille.

Together with World Animal Protection and Dille & Kamille, I’ve created a new set of five cards with envelopes. What makes this collaboration extra special is that 20% of the proceeds goes to World Animal Protection! They work across the globe to protect animals — both in the wild and on farms, and together with animal lovers, they strive for a world free from animal suffering.
